The tagline for the upcoming sequel, Smile 2, is “Would it kill you to smile?” And in the context of the story, it just might. As with the first film, Paramount has sent out performers to promote the new movie by appearing in high-profile places while flashing their creepiest grins. But at least one Smile 2 promo actor had trouble maintaining their expression through one of the baseball playoff games. Two of the performers were given a few close ups at the Dodgers vs. Mets game via Fox’s MLB X account.

It was only a few housports bettingrs later when that same X account noticed that the actor on the left flinched and broke character during a foul ball play. However, their companion managed to maintain their composure and her grin.

The original Smile was released in 2022 and it became an unexpected breakout hit. That film starred Sosie Bacon as Rose Cotter, a therapist who was haunted by a curse. As the curse progressed, Rose saw people flashing sinister smiles at her everywhere she went. Smile 2 is setting up a new victim, Skye Riley (Naomi Scott), to go mad. Skye is a pop singer on the rise when she’s struck by the same curse that afflicted Rose. Like her predecessor, Skye doesn’t have anywhere to run when the curse comes for her.Kyle Gallner is reprising his role as Joel from the first film, which connects the two movies. Rosemarie DeWitt also stars in the film alongside Lukas Gage, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Peter Jacobson, Raúl Castillo, Dylan Gelula, and Ray Nicholson. Drew Barrymore is also slated to cameo as herself.Smile 2 will hit theaters on Friday, October 18.The 25 Best Horror Movies EverSee More
